CATT QA Associate Summary:

The Center for Advanced Tax Technology ("CATT") seeks a QA Associate to join a highly motivated software development team. This key role in RSM's SDLC will be responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, enhancing and executing manual and automation test plans, test scripts & test methodologies to ensure thorough testing takes place for meeting all designated software specifications and compliance. Candidates must exhibit good analytical skills with a desire to learn and take up more responsibilities. The role requires continuous growth of technical, business, and people skills.

Essential Job Duties:

• Develop and maintain manual and automation test cases to ensure that software meets development, usability, functional, and security standards and additionally meets defined requirements for the software.
• Assist in various types of application testing such as manual, regression and performance testing using our testing tools through comprehensive test scenarios.
• Examine and document all testing results and assist in identifying reasons for why actual results do not match expected testing results.
• Ability to create and execute performance tests is an added bonus.

Required:

• Understanding of Quality Assurance processes for software application testing.
• Understanding of basic Accounting or Business processes.
• Knowledge of designated testing tool suite such as Quality Center / Azure DevOps / Jira.
• Knowledge in SQL queries.
• Some experience in working with REST APIs, understanding of Soap APIs.
• Some experience in API Testing and its automation tools like Postman.
• Understanding of HTML/CSS/JS or JQuery.
• Experience/knowledge in working with automation testing tools like Selenium, WebDriverIO.
• Knowledge of bug life cycle.
• Knowledge of SDLC.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban

Preferred:

• Experience with version control systems GIT, VSTS / Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of basic Accounting or Business processes
• Experience with web automation testing tools (e.g. Selenium Webdriver)
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
• Quality Assurance certification from an accredited program

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 2 to 4 years of QA experience or related work experience
