Job Description Reporting to the Head of Performance Marketing, Strategy & Operations, the position, VP- Marketing Strategy Lead , will serve as a Business Manager, as well as, drive critical projects within Marketing. General job duties may involve analyzing an organization and determining areas for improvement, developing a message for organizational leadership to communicate changes, and managing strategic projects that span cross lines of business within Marketing.
This role requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing environment, where creativity, collaboration, and strategic thinking are the norm. It requires a person be a creative problem solver, results focused, detail oriented, and process disciplined. They should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and outstanding analytical skills, as well as a passion for consumer marketing and business models.
In addition to being a seasoned, well trained professional, this role will be a strategic thinker with the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with senior business and technology and internal stakeholders across various levels and functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and work closely with the Performance Marketing leadership team in planning and directing strategic, operational and administrative activities to meet business objectives
  • Responsible for driving core business planning activities and strategic initiatives on behalf of the Head of Performance Marketing, including broad communication of strategic direction and implication.
  • Provide independent, informed, unbiased insight/feedback to Head of Performance Marketing and the leadership team.
  • Expand capacity of the Head of Performance Marketing by ensuring tight coordination, proactive management, and on-time delivery of key deliverables, including change management communications, executive engagements and leadership meetings
  • Collaborate with the leadership team, technology governance, HR and finance to track, analyze and report overall performance per SLAs, KPIs, project goals, and callout risks when needed
  • Manage strategic projects within Marketing
  • Provide input and develop recommendations on organizational structure and resource allocation needs
  • Facilitate communication with internal and external partners to understand issues and effectively, efficiently work to solve any problems, as needed

Required Skills
  • 7 + years of project/product management experience
  • Strong general management and leadership skills, including demonstrated success leading large organizations through significant change
  • Ability to think strategically and to connect the dots to the bigger picture, while still comfortable diving into the details required to ensure successful execution
  • Excellent judgment and independent decision-making ability
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop effective trust-based relationships, working closely with cross functional stakeholders across the business to influence outcomes without formal authority
  • Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written communication skills who is able to flex between strategic and tactical items for varying audiences
  • Self-manage and prioritize amongst multiple projects with competing business and technical priorities in a fluid environment
  • Ability to challenge existing engagement/interactions models across the organization driving improvements in a collaborative environment.
  • Expertise in defining business and use cases, building out multi-year roadmaps, and driving disciplined execution
  • Create and maintain an environment which establishes, communicates and ensures adherence to clear deadlines
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA desirable
