Building on previous achievements, the Chief Data office (CDO) is stepping up to support and enable the organization to leverage the value of data, and ultimately contribute to ASML’s ecosystem cost-efficient sustainable growth.
The CDO is looking for a dynamic Chief of Staff to fill this newly introduced position. Reporting to the Chief Data Officer, you will be an integral part of the CDO management team. In this role, you will not only be exposed to the strategic and operational Data activities at ASML, but you will also play an important role in enabling ASML organizational change to support business lines and sectors to leverage the value of data.
Job mission
As the CDO Chief of Staff, you support and drive key transversal initiatives within the team and across ASML on behalf of the CDO, connecting dots and amplifying impact. This includes facilitating CDO staff and processes, support on ad-hoc projects and on wider ASML governance, aligning with representatives of IT, other sectors and business lines. You are at the heart of the action to support driving the agenda of CDO. Overall this Chief of Staff role is a versatile, flexible and very transversal role, with growth potential for the right applicant.
Role and responsibilities
As the Chief of Staff of CDO, your key responsibilities include:
Support CDO Staff in the definition and implementation of strategy, governance and operating model, driving ad-hoc transversal initiatives

You support the Chief Data Officer, and the rest of CDO staff members as feasible in preparing and facilitating transversal governance, within CDO, and across ASML

You help build CDO key presentations and communication material

You (co)drive projects at CDO staff level (e.g. new initiatives set-up, assessment surveys)

You support the CDO Staff in overarching processes such as target annual plan, long term planning, talent management, team goals. You work closely with the CDO Head of Strategy and Orchestration and the HRBP for their optimal management in CDO staff meetings

You backfill CDO staff representation when relevant, and provide ad-hoc support in the deployment of initiatives at sub-department level in case of emergency

You contribute to secure alignment among parties, and take care in developing strong partnership relationships with stakeholders across ASML most relevant to CDO services
Organize and Facilitate key meetings for CDO Staff

You organize and facilitate key meetings (with MSO & CDO Head of Strategy and Orchestration as applies), such as CDO Staff weeklies and Offsites, All Employee Meetings

You coordinate with CDO staff for optimizing meeting agendas, ensure relevant content is shared timely, record minutes and follow up on agreed actions and KPI tracking

You help resolve gaps & associated bottlenecks in close collaboration with the relevant CDO staff members and stakeholders

You promote the desired culture and growth and serving mindset within CDO, also being an ambassador for our ASML values of Challenge, Collaborate and Care.
Develop and improve CDO Staff operational processes

You ensure ownership, responsibilities, charters are clearly defined and maintained

You review and design improvements in CDO staff meetings structure, track efficiency

You establish well designed CDO Staff communication channels and presentation standards

You proactively identify process issues, bringing them to attention and help in resolution

You act as trusted advisor and sparring partner for CDO staff members on structural CDO team matters such as processes, operating protocols, organization and team dynamics

You align closely with stakeholders (e.g. within IT & Data, and wider ASML) on processes, policies and activities as applies
Education and experience
-
Experience working with a complex stakeholder landscape involving senior management
-
Experience with driving and supporting processes and projects in a corporation
-
Preferably you have an extensive network in ASML
-
University degree (MSc) + more than 7 -10 years of relevant working experience

Context of the Position
The Chief of Staff of CDO position reports to the Chief Data Officer, within the IT & Data sector. You will work closely with the CDO and the CDO staff, and strongly collaborate with leaders and teams across business lines and sectors.
The CDO combined internal and external workforce spans a direct global team of beyond 600 that serves across ASML. Our data enabling services include data management and governance, data and analytics platforms, data analytics delivery and AI services enablement, as well as serving transversal orchestration, in strong partnership with the organisation.
