We have an opportunity for a remote CEJA Intern on our Periodical Publishing team. As a CEJA Intern you will provide support for ongoing Ethics Group projects and initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conducting primary literature research
• Assisting in drafting council reports
• Preparing summaries of articles of ethics or policy interest and contributing to the AMA Journal of Ethics.
• May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Candidates be enrolled in an academic program atthe time of the internship
2. Candidates should a cover letter, resume, andwriting sample (short essay illustrative of ethics or health-related work or a500-word explanation of your interest in bioethics)
3. AMA's safety and policy protocols require proof of full vaccination against COVID19 for employment at AMA (including booster when eligible). Employees may apply for a religious or medical exemption from getting the vaccine

The pay range for this position in Chicago IL, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Washington D.C. is $17 to $21 per hour. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographical location and business or organizational needs.
