What’s brewing

As our Central Operations Associate, you will help us build and improve systems and processes for scale as Blank Street enters the next phase of rapid growth. This person will interact with field leaders across different markets and will provide training and day-to-day support in troubleshooting systems issues and will ensure that other teams on the HQ team provide timely and clear support as needed.

This is a cross-functional role that reports to the Central Operations Manager.

What you'll own
  • Serve as the first point of contact for field team leaders and manage requests to ensure timely support from the subject matter expert.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all field-related systems, tools, and processes including the POS system, the inventory management system, the scheduling tool, receipt printers, operational auditing, the learning management system, automation tools, and any other technology systems.
  • Work to automate business processes to ensure scalability, whether through low-code solutions or by resourcing solutions from our engineering team.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of documentation and training on system functionality and business processes.
  • Monitor trends in support requests to identify recurring questions that can be addressed with new or updated documentation, training, or automation
  • Periodic auditing and administration of data within business systems to ensure clean and accurate data is provided to the business.
Who you are
  • 2+ years managing systems-related process improvement and complex technology projects
  • Prior experience with process mapping and delayering business requirements
  • Proven ability to manage projects with a multi-functional team and to ensure cross-functional accountability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills. An independent “figure it out”-type person with the ability to clearly articulate a problem, diagnose the root cause, independently problem solve, and resource additional support if needed.
  • Proficient in Excel and functional understanding of database technologies. SQL skills a plus.
  • Python and/or other programming skills, or an interest in independently developing these skills, a major plus.
  • A clear verbal and written communicator with a warm but confident approach.
  • Experience in hospitality a major plus.
Benefits
  • Salary Range: $60,000-$90,000
    • Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role in New York City at the time of posting. Our salary ranges are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Additional components include equity offering, healthcare benefits, paid time off and various work perks (commuter benefits, free coffee). Details will be discussed during the interview process. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
