CG Generalist (FX)

SUMMARY:

The CG Generalist (FX) will primarily design and implement high-quality effects that align with the production’s schedule and the studio's creative vision. They may also be asked to model, texture, do basic rig and animation work, and light & render as required. The position requires artistic and technical skills and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques. This is a union covered position.

• Report to the VFX Supervisor
• Design, animate, light, and composite high quality effects
• Modeling, Surface, and some Rigging
• Research, Develop and implement New Techniques

• Good understanding of a wide range of skills in Maya
• General skills in FX sims
• Knowledge of Houdini and Mash
• Experience in various areas of the pipeline including assets and effects
• Python scripting abilities are a bonus
• USD knowledge (willingness to learn is a bonus as well)
• Unreal Engine skills (willingness to learn is a bonus as well)

The anticipated base salary for this position is $45/hour to $75/hour. This role qualifies for benefits pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors.
