Change Manager

Ascend Learning is hiring now for a Change Manager. We are seeking a motivated, energetic individual with strong technical knowledge, project management, and communication skills for the position of Change Manager. This individual will be responsible for driving change management and processes across the Ascend organization. The Change Manager will be part of the Service Management organization and report to the Sr. Manager of Incident and Change Management. This position can work hybrid from our Leawood, Kansas office location preferred. Remote or other Ascend Learning office location considered.
Responsibilities
- Facilitation of the Change Advisory Board (CAB); failed change reviews and effective change calls.
- Training facilitator for change management: Develop and maintain standard training material on change management as well as conducting 1:1 and group change management training sessions.
- Effectively communicate expectations through the documented change process and procedures along with guiding users to ensure overall adherence to published change management policies.
- Review of all normal and non-incident related emergency change requests from submission through closure with the keen ability to identify risks/conflicts as part of each change review independently and across the business units.
- Ability to improve or create new processes by providing direct input into the current change management process, further defining the process flow to ensure continuous improvement.
- Dedicated QA resource for system upgrades and planned maintenance for ServiceNow as they relate to Change Management.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience required
- 3+ years of IT change management experience is required
- Strong/comprehensive understanding of IT service management methodologies and tools is highly recommended, ServiceNow experience is a plus
- Project/Program Management experience is desired
- Experience with designing, leading and providing training efforts is desired - IT training experience is a plus
- Configuration and problem management experience is a plus
- ITIL Foundations certification is a plus

- Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools

- Perform KPI reporting and analysis and provide to the appropriate groups
- Prioritizing tasks appropriately and meet all defined deadlines
- Perform daily duties with minimal direction
