What you will do:
We would like you to call on original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the Midwest region selling our entire Controls Products portfolio. You will partner with key and targeted customers to reach efficient sales levels.
How you will do it:
- Partners with key and target customers to reach efficient sales levels
- Identifies and closes business with new accounts
- Recommends product solutions and links customer objectives to leverage Johnson Controls total value proposition and competitive advantage
- Differentiates and leverages Johnson Controls product offerings from competitors based on the total benefit of doing business with Johnson Controls
- Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns
- Understands customer's business and speaks their language, both from a business standpoint and a technical HVAC/R standpoint
- Develops credibility, dedication, trust and commitment
- Works closely with product management and engineering to deliver customized solutions for sophisticated OEM sales
- Leads ongoing sales processes and responds to/anticipates customer needs
- Involved in the development and execution of account sales
- Responsible for meeting assigned product sales goals and objectives
- Using Johnson Controls account management principles with assigned accounts, conducts quarterly strategic account review sessions, ensures that the customer fully understands and executes appropriate actions towards the co-developed sales plans to achieve the sales goals and objectives identified.
- Builds long term relationships with key stakeholders (c-level, owner, supply chain, engineering, quality, sales, etc)
- Responsible for price and margin management within territory
- Support of events and annual meetings as defined by the customer
- Demand creation through joint calls on refrigeration and HVAC customers
- Continuous training and education efforts, throughout organization
What we look for:
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
- Minimum 5+ years' in the Controls industry in a sales capacity
- Proven clear understanding of the sales process
- Passion for learning the industry, products, business and customer base
- Able to relate to people at all levels, communicating both on a technical and non-technical basis
- Proven outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Possesses excellent presentation skills and proficiency at making one-on-one and group presentations
