Channel Analyst- Small Format

Newark, NJ

As the single source of truth, the Sales Operations Channel Analyst ensures operational and analytical excellence by providing visibility to the latest plans, forecasts, drivers and shipments enabling more accurate and faster decision making for both the Sales and internal teams. As a strategic partner of the Channel, the Channel Analyst develops a deep understanding of the channel, KPIs and business expectations. The Channel Analyst will demonstrate a curiosity to ensure clarity of business performance and plans.

What are we looking for?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ Years business analysis experience across various functions (CMI, Sales, Marketing) and/or channels
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PPT)
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 5% of time)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internal reporting experience (QlikView, Tableau, DSRM, etc.)
  • Syndicated data analysis experience (IRI or AC Nielsen; Scan, Panel, Spectra, etc.)

What would be your key responsibilities?

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Understanding of trends, channel, opportunities/challenges
  • Maintain customer hierarchies to ensure data accuracy.

Annual Planning

  • Utilize reporting and partner with the field to gain understanding of drivers of the plan and in-going assumptions.
  • Lead bi-weekly Governance calls to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Assist with deck development and ad hoc requests.

IBP

  • Lead the channel and cross-functional team through monthly IBP process, exercising continuous improvement.
  • Consolidate feedback and understand drivers of plan and performance.
  • Maintain channel file(s)
  • Drive change management
  • Educate, train and assist with the implementation of new processes/procedures.
  • Incorporate cross-functional team to drive alignment.
  • Partner with Channel VP on recommendation and final IBP and drivers
  • Influence at various levels to drive process acceptance/adherence, driving accurate DSRM forecasts each cycle.
  • Partner with VP to develop quarterly Channel deck for DMR.
  • Ensure risk & opportunities are accurately captured.

IBP Sub-Process (Ex. Adds/Deletes, Inv Building Blocks, Seasonal Carry-forward, Risk & Opportunities)

  • Assist in the development of IBP Sub-Processes that enable a One Demand view of inputs into the forecast.
  • Lead IBP Sub-Processes, create, maintain and train on sub-process tools and procedures.
  • Present overview of to the One Demand team at DMR

Other

  • Ongoing ad-hoc reporting and analysis in support of the VP & Team Lead
  • Lead/Participate on small project teams and hoc assignments as needed.
  • Attend weekly/bi-weekly/periodic team calls to gain understanding of business and provide key updates.
  • Connect and communicate learning to peers and the Team Lead in support of best practice development and sharing across the business.
  • Partner with Large Format VP to coordinate weekly, monthly, and quarterly team meetings.
