POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a Channel Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in Indianapolis, IN! This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing strategic plans, programs, initiatives, and campaigns within their assigned channels. This position is a customer facing role that requires consistent interaction with key channel stakeholders and influencers.

PRIMARY DUTIES
  • Develops, coordinates, and executes an annual marketing channel plan, working cross-functionally with sales, product management, program administrator, brand, digital, sales enablement, and training teams
  • Develops robust channel commercialization plans to support new product introductions and campaigns. The plans must be targeted, actionable, disruptive and synchronized
  • Develops a significant level of channel intimacy by creating key customer and influencer relationships within the assigned channel(s)
  • Develops, tracks and reports KPI's within assigned channel(s)
  • Serves as the expert and content manager regarding your assigned channel(s). Provides content direction and coordinates all marketing deliverables for on-time execution, clearly communicating our value propositions
  • Develops an understanding of channel segments and relevant personas for effective positioning and communication in marketing efforts. Represents the assigned channel needs by participating in new product development, VOC, and other cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ensures that dormakaba is well represented and within brand guidelines in the channel's digital media, such as website presence, social media posts, emails, and ads
  • Collaborates with sales leaders to identify strategic opportunities and pursue resolutions for dormakaba gaps within the channel. Ensures that there are continuous evaluations of dormakaba's position regarding price, delivery, product and service content, T&Cs, and programs
  • Relentlessly pursues differentiation and value add elements that dormakaba can provide to the channel
  • Leads the effort cross-functionally to develop materials and sales tools targeted for the assigned channel, including collateral, merchandising, competitive positioning, training materials, sales enablement materials, business support, and digital solutions
  • Ensures that facilities and tools such as the Customer Connect Studio, the Discovery Center, and the Training Center are leveraged to support the assigned channel
  • Develops channel maps to ensure that we have adequate geographic coverage, we have total portfolio coverage, and we have a handle on regional differences and penetration
  • Develops tactical playbooks to guide the sales teams on how to determine our penetration levels within a channel partner
  • Identifies strategic opportunities and pursues resolutions for dormakaba gaps within the channel
  • Ensures that there are continuous evaluations of dormakaba's position regarding price, delivery, product and service content, T&Cs, programs
  • Establishes regular meeting cadence with sales leaders to illicit feedback and align efforts
  • Publishes at least two trade articles annually
  • Develops an informal and/or formal channel customer counsel


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in B2B marketing or channel management
  • Strong marketing competencies, including market analysis and value proposition creation
  • Strong emphasis on customer engagement and collaboration, with an ability to represent the company externally and build partnerships
  • Detailed oriented with project management skills, with demonstrated ability to scope a project from start to finish with key milestones, required tasks, dependencies, and timelines
  • Collaborative focus with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally within a matrix structure
  • Solid understanding of multi-step distribution
  • Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%
