Manager, Business Development (Channel Program Strategy)
The Manager, Business Development will work directly with existing & new channel partners in an effort to further develop the depth & value of the partnership. In addition, this role will explore new potential channel categories by creating strong business case inclusive of GTM strategy & execution plan. There is heavy cross-functional collaboration to execute the set forth strategies across sales, marketing & product.
Job Responsibilities

  • Build and scale high-performing program(s) for channel partners, including cross-functional alignment on benefits of program
  • Support key initiatives within the channels business unit as needed by senior leadership
  • Enhance existing partner program(s) based on value to partners & industry trends. Work cross-functionally with ops, marketing, & product to create continued value for partners within Paylocity's partner programs and product
  • Act as a subject matter expert for channel partner programs and develop best practices to recruit & onboard key channel partners
  • Drive the enablement, collateral & training for the sales team to activate sales & recognize results of the program at scale
  • Define scalable GTM strategies for each partner category and tier, and collaborate with sales leadership to optimize referral-driven sales activity
  • Travel less than 10%


Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience working for a high-growth technology company with 3+ years in strategy partnerships, business development or strategy role
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school (MBA preferred)
  • Ability to launch & support partner programs at scale with cross-functional dependencies and execution
  • Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, good judgment, and ability to effectively present to large or small groups
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Proven ability to influence C-level executives and senior internal stakeholders and balance competing priorities between external partners and internal teams

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
