- The Role
The Channel Sales Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and scaling a robust channel sales program. This is a pivotal role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong sales background, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven ability to influence and drive results.
Responsibilities
- Proactively recruit, onboard, and ramp IT/telecom channel agents and technology solution distributors to drive revenue and growth.
- Manage sales of Telnyx products and services through our channel partners.
- Drive revenue and pipeline development within key partners.
- Develop, retain, and cultivate strategic relationships with partners that can scale our solution and increase value to customers.
- Structure and negotiate partnership agreements leading to incremental value and capabilities.
- Develop detailed operational plans with partners, including engagement models, sales targets, and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate closely with internal Sales and Channel teams to close customer opportunities, and manage forecasts and pipelines.
- Expectation of travel to meet with partners and attend relevant industry events.
What we are looking for
- Proven track record in consistently achieving sales goals in Channel Sales or similar work experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in software sales, partner development, or business development within a cloud-based environment.
- Strong operational and analytical skills with the ability to describe trends and provide insight from KPIs.
- Experience with and knowledge of communications solutions and VoIP. Â Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx, and/or Zoom Phone are a plus.
- Proven ability to establish, maintain and grow business relationships successfully.
- Exceptional communications skills, including public speaking, professional writing, and active listening.
Bonus points for:
- Fortune 500 enterprises, Telco, CPaaS, UCaaS, CCaaS or SaaS new business sales experience.
- Experience in managing complex sales cycles including RFPs, PoCs, bidding presentations.
- C-Level or equivalent selling experience Â
