Channel Sales Specialist

Essential Functions
• Be a catalyst that facilitate growth of Avient Distribution's sale of SEM solutions
• Be a primary point of contact for Avient Distribution team for all rigid products
• Identify and remove barriers to growth for distribution team
• Manage all aspects of account management for accounts under certain sales threshold as determined by Channel Sales Manager and Sales Director
• Collaborate and communicate with SEM's TAM team, hand-off opportunities where TAM involvement is required or are above the threshold in size
• Assist distribution sellers with new developments to spur the growth
• Provide pricing for new rigid opportunities, request lower pricing on existing business, price refresh and manage price increase exceptions with distribution customers
• Provide support with logistics including order management, deliveries and request to expedite an order
• Pull in SEM & IQ Design's technical resources as needed for supporting a new development opportunity
• Provide support with quality complaints, sample materials, technical datasheets
• Be responsive to the needs of distribution sellers, generate mutual trust & respect, make it simple, hassle free & fast whereby distribution team views CSS as an ally
• Attend district meetings, with Channel Manager, as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time to meet the changing needs of the business #LI-CB1, #LI-Remote
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in either business with sales and/or marketing major or an engineering degree in either Chemical or Plastic/polymer
• 3-5 year of experience in sales, product management, plastic materials technical service and/or customer service
• Plastics industry experience preferred

Physical Demands
• Must be able to traverse and operate computer and other office equipment.
• Typical work is in a home office environment where the noise level is low to moderate.
• Travel up to 10-15% - customer visits, annual training/corporate meetings & district meetings
