HAP Tech, a subgroup of BRG's Healthcare Analytics practice (HAP), is one of the firm's largest and fastest growing teams. HAP Tech supports and advises pharmaceutical manufacturers on how to navigate the challenges and complexities of the 340B program as well as other areas of the healthcare ecosystem. Our team is the established market leader in data and technology solutions for 340B-related issues and we support an impressive client base which includes the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the US as well as early-stage biotech companies. Beyond our syndicated solutions, we also integrate and synthesize data to deliver unparalleled analytics and insights into various aspects of the 340B program and the pharmaceutical supply chain.
The Chargeback Manager will report to the FinOps Director and will be responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Chargeback Analysts. This position involves strategic planning, team coordination, and ensuring effective chargeback management processes.
Responsibilities
- Directly supervise a team of Chargeback Analysts.
- Manage day to day operations of the chargeback department's claims to cash process, including claims, disbursing payments, and account reconciliations.
- Serve as primary liaison in resolving complex accounts that require collaboration amongst the accounts receivable, credit and collection and general accounting departments.
- Provide effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring of staff to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in processes.
- Ensure all tasks, emails, correspondence, and research functions are handled with SLA and compliance standards.
- Identify trends and escalate issues to manage timely, for minimizing corporate risk, enhancing the customer experience, and adherence to root cause policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the creation of training material for new hires and development of department KPIs.
- Ensure that the team's work is accurate, complete, and delivered in a timely manner according to Standard Operating Procedure guidelines.
- Perform comprehensive weekly analysis of contract changes, summarizing the impact of each change.
- Responsible for maintaining target performance goals related to the disposition of chargebacks to drive a quality customer experience, reduce risk of financial leakage, and mitigate risk of deductions.
- Responsible for the development, analysis, and interpretation of chargeback trend reports highlighting key activities and insights for key stakeholders, development, and leadership teams.
- Responsible for the development and management of process documentation including Standard Operation Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Maps, and Process Risk Documents.
- Responsible for chargeback change management processes including development of business requirements, test script development, user acceptance testing and resolution of defects with the development team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business finance, or related field.
- 5+ year's related business experience demonstrating growth in a matrix organization required.
- 3+ years of direct management experience required.
- Knowledge of SAP, SAP 4HANA, or other Accounts Receivable systems required.
- Experience in contracting, chargeback adjudication within the pharmaceutical industry, medical distribution, and/or healthcare is required.
- Leadership, analytical and organization skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel required.
- Strong technical writing skills and process management experience.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to error prevention and correction.
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the United States, without company sponsorship.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 per year.
