Job Overview
The Check Aging Representative role will be responsible for tasks related to daily payment execution on behalf of our customers and onboarding of new Buyers/Suppliers, and Check follow up. This includes achieving assigned daily quotas and quality metrics, educating our new Buyers/Suppliers to our program/services, and completing tasks to resolve outstanding checks. They will also serve as a liaison with other departments, to include maintaining open and concise communication with regards to payment status and other inquiries with our Buyers/Suppliers.

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a prominent level of professionalism with supplier in all communication to ensure payments are processed within designated Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Successfully meet/exceed minimum monthly quota of assigned work
- Deliver outstanding customer service by successfully meeting/exceeding our Quality Assurance expectations and other Key Performance Indicators
- Operate in an autonomous environment where decisions regarding our people, processes and/or programs will impact the financial business
- Assess and resolve payments to completion documenting each attempt in Salesforce
- Completerequired trainings specific to Payments TeamExecute Utility
- Payments - must maintain high attention to detail to ensure that the correct
- Process/follow up on payments for Special Clients within specified timeframes to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met
- Communicate with Customers regarding outstanding payments
- Ability to execute stops, reissues and/or refunds as necessary
- Conduct Exception Check Printing and convert Suppliers onto an E-Payment solution
- Assist with educating New Hires on best practices; prioritization and time management
- Ability to execute payments through multiple card processing platforms
- Collaborate with Cross Functional teams to drive payment success
- Proficient Mathematical and Analytical Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent phone contact handling skills and active listening skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Internet Explorer
- Customer focused and solution-oriented problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt/respond to diverse types of personalities, situations, and frequent process changes
- Exhibit patience with internal and external customers
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined with a dedicated work ethic
- Highly detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Maintained Payment Specialist I role for minimum of 6 months and be an employee in Good Standing OR associate degree preferred OR 3-4 years professional experience
- Proficient in Salesforce
- Familiarity with AvidXchange product offerings; desired but not required
- Demonstrate the ability to motivate and effectively guide others
