Chef – California $35/hr | Per diem | Onsite Only, approximately 20 hrs per week Legacy Healing Center, a premier substance abuse treatment facility in California, is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our culinary team and support our Executive Chef. This per diem, onsite role plays a key part in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to individuals in recovery. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and assist with the execution of daily meals and snacks according to the established menu • Support the Executive Chef with food prep, inventory, and kitchen operations • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times • Follow dietary restrictions and accommodate special dietary needs as necessary • Receive and properly store food deliveries • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations Qualifications: • Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen or food service setting • ServSafe certification is required • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Experience in healthcare, treatment, or residential settings is a plus Why Join Us? • Be part of a mission-driven team making a difference in the lives of others • Enjoy a flexible, daytime schedule—no late nights • Growth opportunities within a supportive, premier facility Legacy Healing Center is a drug-free workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
