Chevron New Energies is currently seeking a highly skilled Corporate Affairs Manager based in Houston TX, responsible for developing and coordinating stakeholder engagement strategies and activities for multiple projects related to our Offsets & Emerging, Hydrogen, and CCUS business lines.

Along with getting to work on exciting lower carbon intensity projects, you will also get to be part of our broader Chevron New Energies (CNE) and Corporate Affairs teams. As part of Chevron's broader Corporate Affairs team, you will be able to leverage our specialists who have expertise in areas such as stakeholder engagement, communications, and issues management.

As the Stakeholder Engagement Manager - US Gulf Coast, you will:

  • Bring your extensive leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities to lead and coordinate related strategies and activities for the projects.
  • Coordinate across the Corporate Affairs to shape strategies in support of stakeholder engagement and successful outcomes for the projects.
  • Lead community investment strategies and local project issue management.
  • Bring your established relationships with external stakeholders and communities in the Greater Houston industrial sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ Years of related experience
  • Demonstrated academic and practical capabilities in leading the development and execution of strategies and plans for emerging industries and/or new regions, in the areas of public affairs, stakeholder engagement, local government affairs, and community investment strategies.
  • Proven expertise in leading, managing, and coordination for large scale initiatives, including activities in the Gulf Coast, including established relationships with stakeholders and communities in the Gulf Coast.
  • Demonstrated experience in spokesperson responsibilities (print, radio, TV) and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead in an agile, collaborative, and fast paced environment - navigating ambiguity and managing multiple activities.
