About the Role

As the Chief Accountant, you will oversee daily accounting operations of Vietnam using the Xero system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation. You will play a key role in budget preparation, financial statements, and cash flow reporting, while managing accounts payable, account receivable, all tax matters, payroll related and intercompany reconciliations. You will be considered as the main point of contact and expert in the accounting operations in the Vietnam entity. Additionally, you will maintain communication with suppliers and stakeholders, and undertake ad hoc projects as needed.

What You Will Do:

• Be responsible for daily accounting operations in Xero system
• Lead the accounting operations; payroll and other related contributions in the Vietnam entity
• Lead month end closing for Vietnam
• Ensure billable hours are fully billed to respective Clients
• Maintain proper and accurate records and supporting documents
• Prepare budget, forecast, and cash flow reporting 
• Be responsible for AR, AP functions of the firm
• Manage intercompany reconciliations
• Communicate with suppliers and various stakeholders on payments and accounting documentation
• Lead audit processes and tax matters 
• Perform ad hoc assignments and projects as required

What We Are Looking For:

• A degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA); a Chief Accountant certificate is a must 
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience in Vietnam with a solid understanding in VAS and International Accounting Standards (IFRS) 
• Xero accounting software experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Good knowledge at laws related to corporate finance in Vietnam
• Working experience with international businesses is a plus
• Competent to use various software, applications, and IT solutions
• Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Self-motivated, hardworking, a strong sense of responsibility with a positive working attitude
• Resourceful, can-do attitude and willingness to learn and go beyond
• Good command of English is a must, knowing other languages would be an advantage
