ABOUT THE ROLEÂ
As the Chief Brand Officer (CBO) at Uncommon Goods, you are a member of our leadership team and the driving force behind our brand identity and creative vision. You will set the overall strategic direction for our brand, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration on our talented Creative team. You will oversee art direction, design, and messaging. You will ensure our site, marketing and overall customer experience are represented in an innovative, artistic, and unique style. Â
This hybrid role works on-site at our waterfront Brooklyn location 2 to 3 days a week.Â
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
 Brand Strategy:Â
- Develop and execute a visionary brand strategy that reflects our commitment to creativity, individuality, innovation, and excellence.Â
- Refine the company's brand identity, ensuring alignment with the Founder/CEO’s vision, with consistency across all customer touchpoints.Â
- Build on our brand's artistic vision, values, and distinctive qualities and continuously evolve our brand strategy in response to market trends and creative opportunities.Â
Creative Leadership:Â
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the creative team to achieve excellence and push boundaries.Â
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning in crafting and executing captivating visual and artistic concepts that resonate with our target audience.Â
- Ensure that all creative outputs, from website to product design and marketing campaigns, embody our brand's essence.Â
Marketing and Advertising:Â
- Oversee creative marketing strategies, including content creation, visual campaigns, and storytelling.Â
- Collaborate with Marketing team to implement campaigns that celebrate the nature of our products and brand.Â
Product Innovation:Â
- Work closely with Product Development team to infuse creativity and uniqueness into our product offerings.Â
- Champion brand-right presentations in product design, packaging, descriptive copy, photography, and selling touchpoints, both digital and offline.Â
Customer Experience:Â
- Ensure customers have a remarkable and memorable experience interacting with our online and offline brand (catalog).Â
- Foster a customer-centric approach and gather feedback to enhance the customer journey.Â
 Performance Measurement:Â
- Define creative KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of creative initiatives.Â
- Regularly report on creative and brand performance.Â
- Implement effective productivity initiatives that enable the creative team to deliver higher quality work on time and within budget.Â
Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, fine arts, design, or a related field preferred.Â
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in creative leadership roles, including a track record in brand strategy and expertise in Copy, Design, Photo, Art Direction and User Experience.Â
- Deep passion for creativity, innovation, and the arts.Â
- Exceptional creative thinking, communication, and leadership skills.Â

This position's annual base salary range is $200k - $240k. This role is eligible for our annual performance bonus program and options.Â
