This year, we're going even bigger-caring hard and moving fast down the path of high growth and positive impact.
That's where you come in.
SpotOn is a software and payments SaaS company with an omni channel software platform that has redefined the merchant service industry by providing businesses with tools and solutions to help grow and run their businesses. We are one of the fastest growing companies in fin-tech (growing from 50 to 1,800 employees in the past two and a half years). We rely on our products, our integrity, and a concierge like service team instead of tricky and misleading long term contracts. Our work, service and employees speak for themselves when it comes to merchant satisfaction.

This role will establish standards and implement procedures to ensure the compliance programs through the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations.
You will:
  • Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the compliance program (payments, AML/KYC) for the SpotOn organization.
  • Advise various stakeholders on compliance services, features, and requirements, and work with development and product teams to build up compliance processes (both automatic and manual).
  • Communication of significant issues to management; make recommendations when weaknesses are identified.
  • Prepare and respond to regulatory inquiries and manage examinations.
  • Research and report on regulatory developments and make suggestions with respect to related compliance policy and procedure enhancements.
  • Monitor payments industry developments and maintain advanced knowledge of new and amended laws and regulations, and ensure processes are in place to keep the business updated on such developments

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of consumer protection regulations, including Regulation E and UDAAP .

What you'll bring..
  • 5 plus years of professional compliance experience as a compliance risk professional at MSB/MTL, financial institutions, banks, fin-tech companies, financial regulatory agencies, or professional services firms serving financial institution clients.
  • Knowledge of MSB/MTL or payments experience and deep experience with OFAC and AML compliance;
  • A business mindset with a drive to find solutions that allow business and market share growth in a prudent and long-term-oriented approach.
  • Experience working with state and/or federal regulators and agencies (i.e., FinCEN).
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) and/or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) strongly preferred
  • Experience in and understanding of payments, gateway, banking functions, MSBs, and/or merchant processing; broad experience understanding systems, including how to oversee systems that are outsourced to affiliates or third parties.

... and here's a bit about what we have to offer!
  • Full medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Paid vacation, holiday & sick time
  • Fast-growing company with opportunities to advance
  • 401K with matching
  • Stock Options
