Position Overview:
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff is a key member of the executive team whose overarching responsibility is the consistent execution of the organization’s goals. This includes managing projects, change management, operationalizing strategic plans, and leading process improvements. This role calls for a dynamic generalist who excels in problem-solving and achieving results. You’ll take charge of strategic initiatives, monitor progress, and address challenges, ensuring smooth operations and impactful outcomes. As you coordinate cross-functional projects and foster team collaboration, you'll help shape the company’s strategic direction and enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination:Oversee and coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives, fostering alignment and collaboration among teams.
- Accountability: Ensure accountability for key action items and strategic initiatives, monitoring progress and addressing potential roadblocks.
- Metrics Tracking: Develop and track leading and lagging metrics to assess the success of initiatives.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: Partner with the CEO and executive team to define and implement the organization's vision and strategy.
- Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining processes, introducing new tools, and refining existing workflows.
- Communication Hub: Serve as the central point of contact for the CEO and leadership team, managing communications and updates on key projects and priorities.
- Leadership Meeting Facilitation: Coordinate and manage leadership meetings, including setting agendas, following up on action items, and ensuring updates and communications are cascaded across the organization.
- Strategic Financial Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial planning and reporting to drive financial strategy and decision-making, ensuring optimal financial health and performance.
- Executive Support: Provide high-level support to the CEO on ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and priorities.
Requirements:
- Over 4 years of experience in an operational or project management role within private equity, consulting, or similar fast-paced, dynamic industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decision-making, including analyzing financial metrics to drive strategic financial planning and performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
- The ability to think critically and strategically while delivering on the details.
- Proven success in managing multiple projects and competing priorities while driving results and achieving key objectives.
- Bachelor's degree; an MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Preferably located in Central Time Zone, United States (Austin, TX ideal)Â
