Job Description

EnergyHub empowers utilities and their customers to create a clean, distributed energy future. We accomplish this through innovative software and program management solutions that harness millions of distributed energy resources, enabling utilities to support more renewables and rely less on fossil energy.

We are experiencing high-impact growth across our business and are looking to hire our first Chief of Staff. You will have the unique opportunity to help define the role, and work on projects that will advance your knowledge of climate tech and the disruption our industry is bringing to solving problems critical to the future of our environment.

As EnergyHub’s Chief of Staff, you will help run the company’s operating system and drive strategic initiatives.  With the leadership team, you will define, communicate, and support the company’s key priorities. You will be as strong at analytics as you are at influencing senior leaders, managing key initiatives, driving alignment and facilitating successful outcomes through exceptional communication and organization. You will be a strong individual contributor and team member, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. You will guide project execution, ensure committed timelines, and own results directly tied to EnergyHub’s mission and vision.

What you’ll do:

  • Engage with the CEO and leadership team on key strategic and operational priorities
  • Own recurring strategic processes like goal-setting, budgeting, OKRs, and scenario planning
  • Enable rapid, well-informed decision-making by synthesizing data from key sources and presenting it in a digestible, actionable format
  • Plan and facilitate key executive and company meetings, document decisions, and ensure successful follow-through
  • Manage the strategic roadmap and provide monthly updates to the company
  • Implement processes that allow for the team to work more efficiently and effectively
  • Create best practices for existing tools and review additional platforms as needed for cross-functional collaboration
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders on new and existing initiatives
  • Manage ad hoc analyses and projects to accelerate the company’s growth

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, VC/banking, or technology
  • Exceptional executive-level communication skills. You can take complex topics and quickly distill them into simple and compelling written and verbal communications with meticulous attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational skills, an analytical mindset, and a creative approach to solving problems
  • A track record that demonstrates ownership, accountability, and self-direction
  • A structured, data-driven approach to decision-making
  • A passion for our environmental mission

Bonus points:

  • Data analysis background, meaning you’re a wiz when it comes to pulling reports and numbers to tell a story
