Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff to the COO is responsible for developing long-term goals and strategic objectives in collaboration with Cuberg and Northvolt leadership. At Cuberg, the Chief of Staff will be responsible for supporting Cuberg's business in go-to-market strategy, and driving organizational performance across R&D and operations. The Chief of Staff will work cross functionally to develop achievable goals and implement processes that improve organizational effectiveness and build a sustainable competitive advantage.

About

Cuberg is commercializing next-generation battery technology to power the future of electric mobility. The company was acquired in 2021 by Northvolt, a global supplier of sustainable, high-quality battery cells and systems. As Northvolt's Advanced Technology Center operating in Silicon Valley, Cuberg is developing and commercializing lithium metal batteries, building an innovation ecosystem around lithium-ion technology, and leveraging Northvolt's state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities to rapidly scale up production of advanced batteries.

The San Fransisco / Bay Area base salary range for this full-time position is $127,500 - $192,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of long-term business strategy, including budgeting and forecasting, supporting business development, and driving strategic partnerships.
• Conduct research and analyses of operational effectiveness, processes, stakeholders, etc.
• Align departmental goals, processes and resource allocation with the organizational strategy.
• Assess market trends and competitive positioning.
• Identify threats and opportunities to the business
• Present findings, projections and recommended actions.
• Plan, implement and manage proposed recommendations and projects.
• Monitor and report on projects.
• Support and guide senior executive decision-making processes.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in business or related field, MBA preferred or equivalent in related experience.
• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or high growth tech.
• Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• 3+ years experience in research and analytics
• 3+ years project management experience
• Experience with high growth, startup environments is a plus
• Motivated self-starter with a high tolerance of ambiguity
