The Chief of Staff role is a unique opportunity for YOU to become the "right hand" person to the Founder and CEO, Oana Manolache. We're looking for someone who is hyper focused on organization and project management, enthusiastic about getting involved in all (and we really mean ALL) aspects of life at a Series A startup as it scales, and comfortable prioritizing and running with initiatives alongside executives. Ideally, the successful candidate will become an integral part of almost all departments across the org structure while also acting as the glue that helps to connect our diverse employees spread out across the globe.

Below is a list of just a few examples of the types of challenges you'll take on in this role:

  • Establish company-wide metrics/KPIs to ensure alignment and clear objectives across the company
  • Own and continuously improve company operating cadence (i.e. executive team meetings, quarterly business reviews, leadership offsite, quarterly board meetings) including the execution of action items and distilling discussion from team meetings into strategic plans
  • Take the lead on managing the company's P&L, ensuring that company funds are being allocated correctly and focusing on finding creative ways to increase company profitability
  • Maintain and update the business' financial model(s) to enable key strategic decision-making by the CEO & Leadership Team
  • Manage investor relations including maintaining reporting, communications, and community-building between Sequel.io and existing/new investors
  • Create company analytics and dashboards to provide leadership visibility into the businesses' day-to-day operations
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding processes for new hires
  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR related matters including performance reviews, questions regarding benefits, and PTO policies
  • Handle administrative tasks including calendar management, project management board ownership, taking notes during team meetings, and preparing key memos to internal/external stakeholders including company announcements
  • Work cross functionally to plug in and collaborate with all department to help address key business needs and advance strategic initiatives

Note: This is a remote position.

Requirements

  • Startup experience and a demonstrated interest in the startup ecosystem
  • Entrepreneurial, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity, and efficient with limited resources
  • Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success across multiple departments
  • Strong EQ with the ability to adapt to different communication styles - this role will be highly focused on building, maintaining, and nurturing relationships internally and externally
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with executives, and able to lead and influence across multiple levels and multiple functions of an organization
  • Experience in revenue operations, budget management, financial modeling, and data analysis
  • Strong and high-velocity work ethic, detail orientation, and strong organizational skills
  • Positive and proactive attitude, natural curiosity, strong emotional intelligence, and strategic mindset
