Position Overview

Autodesk's Global Product Support (GPS) organization is seeking a highly strategic, consultative, analytical, organized, and motivated individual to act as Chief of Staff for the company's VP for Global Product Support. In this role you will partner closely with the GPS leadership team, acting as an enabler for strategic initiatives, and ensuring execution of key priorities. You will be charged with building alignment on strategic initiatives with GPS senior leadership team and broader organization to include planning, communicating, and operationalizing strategic programs for GPS. As a critical partner, you will define and manage the rhythm of business as well as coordinate quarterly business objectives & key results. This role is a pivotal player requiring influence, initiative, creativity, and resolve to ensure the team is well positioned to execute. You will also serve as a program manager for special projects or events, driving both the strategy and execution. The right candidate will bring strategic thinking, communications expertise, intellectual curiosity, energy and creativity to help create powerful presentations and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Distill and synthesize strategic discussions into discernible, executable plans: Enable rigorous discussion while providing the connection points between strategic ideas
• Manage executive leadership meetings: Plan and facilitate executive meetings and offsites, including formulating the topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate
• Lead special projects and programs that span GPS and, in many cases, require cross-company collaboration: These projects include key programs and business initiatives that impact the overall success of the company
• Coordinate annual strategy cycle: Ensure Strategic Intent and Strategic Realization process fully reflect GPS's vision, priorities, and constraints
• Track progress of all Autodesk corporate metrics assigned to GPS: Analyze a variety of business variables from both a strategic and operational point of view. Identify potential issues, recommend resolution, and prioritize and deploy initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a fast-moving, high-tech business environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Communications, or MBA
• Proven track record of ensuring accountability and results; ability to steer leaders and constituents towards decisions
• Top-notch business acumen, consultative skills, critical thinking, problem solving, facilitation, and organizational skills
• Excellent relationship building, influencing, and communication skills with all levels of management and employees
• Proven record of seamless execution of complex projects
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues and applying sound judgment
• Resourceful, flexible, and adaptable
• Comfort dealing with ambiguity, and distilling to executable actions
• Quantitative skills and experience creating compelling business presentations
• Strategic and creative thinker comfortable debating and defending her/his ideas
• Ability to be flexible, pro-active, work under deadlines, and ensure quality and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA and/or graduate degree
• 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, or Communications
• Experience driving business transformations
