Reporting to and as a strategic extension of the CEO, the Chief of Staff will be involved in various projects from working with investors, to customer/business research.  As a right hand and occasional proxy to the CEO, you will collaborate with various members of Checkr’s executive team to refine strategic alignment, enhance productivity, and organize and prioritize company issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise the CEO and executive team on various items and initiatives.
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution.
  • Help optimize and improve current processes and drive efficiency.
  • Act as a proxy to the CEO in communicating with current and potential investors.
  • Fill gaps on the executive team as needed.
  • Lead customer and business research to increase competitive advantages for Checkr.
  • Understand the pulse and climate of Checkr and its employees.
  • Summarize and present complex issues via presentations and financial models.
  • Draft and iterate strategy documents.
  • Collaborate with and help coach various leaders within the organization.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience leading teams and directing multiple departments
  • Background with planning and leading strategic initiatives
  • High IQ and EQ
  • Experience bootstrapping new initiatives 
  • Strong ability in data analysis and problem solving
  • Ability to marry quantitative data with qualitative insights
  • Consulting experience a strongly preferred
  • Product strategy background a plus

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The salary range for this role is $227,545 to $375,000.
