Summary of Role/Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our company as the Chief of Staff for our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As the Chief of Staff, you will work closely with the CTO to optimize their efficiency and effectiveness in driving our technology initiatives. You will play a critical role in coordinating and aligning cross-functional teams, streamlining operations, and facilitating strategic decision-making processes. This position requires a strong combination of leadership, technical expertise, and business acumen.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with the CTO to define and implement the technology strategy, goals, and objectives of the organization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans for the organization.
- Assist in developing and executing long-term plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
- Conduct research, gather data, and provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Project Management and Coordination:
- Oversee and coordinate cross-functional projects to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Oversee the execution of key technology projects and initiatives, ensuring effective project planning, resource allocation, and delivery.
- Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, promoting efficient project execution and timely completion.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Operations Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency within the technology organization, proposing and implementing process improvements.
- Streamline communication channels and establish effective mechanisms for information sharing and knowledge transfer.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the performance and effectiveness of technology initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a trusted liaison between the CTO and internal/external stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and facilitating effective communication.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for executive meetings, board presentations, and technology updates.
- Represent the CTO and the technology organization in meetings, conferences, and industry events as required.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the technology team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Support talent acquisition and onboarding efforts, ensuring the right skills and expertise are present within the team.
- Identify professional development opportunities for team members and provide coaching and mentorship to promote growth.
Decision Support
- Provide analysis, research, and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
Crisis Management
- Play a critical role in crisis response and management, including coordinating resources and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar). A master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a technology-driven organization, preferably as a Chief of Staff or in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of technology trends, software development lifecycle, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to synthesize and present information effectively.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based on job experience, education level, global geographic region, etc: $160,000-$185,000
