Chief Operating Officer
Job Description
Compensation - $115,000-165,000 base salary commensurate with experience.
Plus 10% annual bonus opportunity.
Our client is a dynamic, boutique wealth management firm in Raleigh, NC with a mission to educate the community on all things financial and empower others to live their best lives. They design a personalized plan and help clients execute it by safely navigating their financial journey and having meaningful adventures. The firm provides comprehensive financial planning, investment advisory solutions, education funding strategies, holistic wealth management, retirement planning, and risk management.
They are adding a Chief Operating Officer to support the firm.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the firm
- Manage employee hiring, performance reviews, and general HR tasks
- Maintain personnel files electronically
- Develop and maintain employee handbook
- Run payroll - including bonus income, 401k and reimbursements
- Manage the hiring process with internal and external stakeholders
- Review and refine the firm’s HR practices including the performance management system
- Generate ideas on process improvements, marketing, recruiting, etc
- Manage projects related to the firm such as business development ideas, mergers and acquisitions, client appreciation events, and client experience
- Research and propose internal and external business opportunities
Qualifications
- 5-7 years in executive/leadership role
- 5 years of work with payroll
- Financial Services experience (preferred but not required)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work proactively, embrace change, and exhibit a high degree of confidentiality
Compensation
- $115,000-165,000 base salary commensurate with experience. Plus 10% annual bonus opportunity.
