The mission of our Information Security team is to ensure the development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive program that effectively protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Point72 information assets. Our team is comprised of security professionals with expertise in a diverse portfolio of security disciplines.


What you’ll do
As the COO of Information Security, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing the information security strategy, policies, and programs of our organization. Reporting directly to the CISO, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team and driving the operational effectiveness of our information security functions.


Specifically, you will:
• Develop and execute a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, and continuously assess the evolving threat landscape and drive proactive security measures.
• Oversee the operational aspects of the information security program, including security policies and standards, risk management, security awareness, incident response, and vendor management
• Establish a strong governance framework, including information security governance committees and appropriate reporting structures
• Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to address findings, manage risks, and maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with Technology teams to develop and maintain a secure infrastructure and application architecture that adheres to secure coding practices, encryption standards, secure network design, and access controls
• Develop and implement a robust threat intelligence program to proactively identify, assess, and respond to emerging threats
• Oversee the incident response program to minimize the impact of security incidents, drive timely resolution, and conduct post-incident reviews for continuous improvement
• Collaborate with business continuity and IT teams to develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans
• Manage the information security budget effectively, allocating resources appropriately and maximizing return on investment
• Establish processes for assessing, monitoring, and managing the security posture of vendors and partners

What’s required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 8+ years in senior leadership roles within information security
• Deep understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including risk management, governance, compliance, and security operations
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing information security strategies and programs in complex business environments
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
• Strong business acumen and the ability to effectively communicate security-related concepts to executive leadership and other stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive collaboration and alignment across various business functions

The annual base salary range for this role is $250,000 - $300,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
