About the Role:
The Chief Operating Officer will be responsible for developing and managing several components of the strategic program to drive operational efficiency, effectiveness, and scale across the organization by partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Marketing teams. You will be supporting one of today's fastest growing American companies to scale their operations in Europe.
This position will be based in Chicago for 3 - 6months then permanently in Europe.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the CEO and other business department heads to build and develop the overall business strategy (including sales and operations teams) in Europe to achieve annual revenue growth goals.
• Build and develop a team of operational Subject Matter Experts who maintain services and operations at Halo.
• Analyze performances and develop expectations to drive resource efficiency, sustainable quality, cost, and service delivery.
• Manage cross-functional company relationships, white glove client relationships, and key strategic partnerships.
• Create solutions-focused ideas to ensure trading operations, sales, and client success.
• Play a direct role in the growth, change and innovation of the business by establishing strategic plans and initiatives.
• Drive results by increasing company profitability through process optimization, account development, and expansion strategies.

Required Education and Experience:

• Experience leading Cross-Operations Working Groups to improve shared Operational pain points and identify, define, and develop growth opportunities for the organization's core businesses.
• Experience leading business change or consulting efforts for an organization.
• Direct responsibility for P&L and managing a business unit.
• Candidates must have experience in both building strategy and executing it with demonstrable results and outcomes.
• Well-versed on a global scale with evolving financial market trends and investing ecosystem.
• Strong leadership skills with proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions and at all levels, including Board members.
• 8+ years of operations and / or business management and / or business management consulting experience, preferably in Financial Marketing, Capital Markets, or FinTech (Derivatives, OTC, and Fixed Income experience a plus).
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset and organizational skills.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited University.
• Working knowledge of the full trade lifecycle from pre- to post-trade.
• Strong people management experience.
• Passionate about driving change and innovation of the business with strategic initiatives.
• End-to-end Project/Program Management experience including team structures and work streams, roadmaps and backlogs, action plans and progress updates.
• Strong experience and understanding of workforce management, business intelligence and financials.
• Institutional and / or Retail financial markets experience preferred.
