The Technology organization under Nokia Cloud and Network Services (CNS) is chartered to create technology disruptions in CNS by transforming technical capabilities of the workforce to drive innovation across all disciplines. The Knowledge Management and Competency Development (KMCD) team within Technology is responsible for capabilities development and knowledge management across all CNS products and services. We help build a continuous role-based learning culture combining all forms of learning with emphasis on collaboration to build the capabilities of future.

As part of our team, you will perform:

CNS is seeking a Software/Solutions Architect, to support the evolution of our Nokia Knowledge Center (NKC). The NKC captures knowledge across a wide variety of sources and makes it easy for professionals to contribute and find information through the normal course of performing their roles. Federating a variety of existing tools, systems, methodologies, and processes that are used by different functional roles including Architects, Designers, Integrators, Maintenance/Technical Support Engineers, and Project Managers will be necessary in this role.

The Software/Solution Architect is accountable for defining requirements, architecture, design, and implementation of the NKC system. The Architect will partner with Agile PM and Deputy SW Architect to define the organization and structure of information including Communities of Practice. Along with this role the Architect is responsible for all KMCD PowerBI (PBI) and online reporting content. The Architect will build API interfaces to acquire the content, with an innovative, visually creative mind, and with thorough competencies, metrics and reporting process understanding. The desire to automate, innovate, influence, and serve the organization in a positive manner will be a must to ensure transparent, fact-based management support, and sharing of best practices. The Architect is the technical leader for a small team of developers and the Deputy Software Architect

The Architect must be able to manage complex topics, large data sets, large number of contacts and stakeholders, and the (master data) data analysis and reporting. Most of all the Architect must have a passion for achieving common business goals and the determination to secure the quality, execution and profitability of the CNS Networks business.
  • Define NKC Requirements
    • Partner with Knowledge Management / Competence Development team members to gather requirements in a structured way
    • Define APIs, protocols, and methods across applications building seamless integrations and application communications
  • Understand & evolve the NKC Architecture
    • Develop and drive a common architecture framework creating a Nokia Knowledge Center (NKC) system across CNS
    • Drive pilots across CNS and Core Networks utilizing Agile and DevOps methodologies to support Proof of Concepts (PoC)
  • Hands-on Design & Implement, Lead technical team
    • Utilize Agile Continuous Integration / Delivery / Deployment practices and the Common Software Foundation
    • Partner with the NKC Agile PM to develop the detailed End-to-End design & implementation plan
    • Develop common APIs, protocols, and methods across NKC and partnering applications building seamless communications and integration
    • Lead, mentor, and support the technical team members in their design, implementation, and support activities


Your skills and experience

You have:
  • MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 15+ years of experience in software architecture and Systems Integration experience
  • 15+ years OOP Experience in one or more of the following languages C, C++, C#, JAVA, .Net, HTML, JSP, and ASPX
  • 10+ years Services delivery experience across NSW or other Nokia BGs
  • 5+ years Data Science and Knowledge Management experience including Power BI or BI/BO implementations
  • 5+ years Microsoft Office SharePoint Services development experience
  • Ability to Troubleshoot Common Software Foundation software, lab and networking issues
  • Able to work as part of multi-cultural global team in different time zones.
  • Proven track record of Systems Architect & integration experience
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time and support team and CNS needs
  • Demonstrated expertise in Hardware and Software Architecture, Software Development, Power BI creation and reporting. Self-motivated drive for automation and managing large sets of data
