DUBL ï will be the resultant product from the platform, IISS (Informational Interpretation Scientific Software). DUBL ï™ is designed as software for immediate detection, distinction, classification and analysis.

Desmond J. Watson, co-founder and chief executive officer of Hexagon Lavish®, is putting together a small team of researchers, mathematicians, engineers and programmers for this startup.

Position Overview

Hexagon Lavish® is looking for an exemplary individual to take on the role of Chief Software Architect. This individual will lead the "expansion" of our informational interpretation technology. This will be the role that will expand our software from its introductory nature that currently performs immediate detection and expand the R&D phase.

This position oversees the R&D portfolio in concerns of the informational interpretation aspects of the software product, DUBL ï™. The Chief Software Architect will be tasked with taking "complex challenges" and restructuring them into a well-though out research plan that simplifies those "complex challenges" into doable responsibilities for the internal scientific staff.

Another chief responsibility will be for the Chief Software Architect to put together a team of experienced information and sensory scientists that can aid in transitioning the informational interpretation technology into a form-function that can "mesh into" the emulation of human sensory perceptibility for our software's capabilities and for rapid prototyping as well as collaborative implementation.

The Chief Software Architect will be responsible for establishing the assignments, objectives and tasks of: the Informational Interpretation ResearchersComputational PhysicistsScientific ProgrammersInformational Library ArchitectsAlgorithm DevelopersImplementation ArchitectsInformational Research Programmers and Research Statisticians.

The Chief Software Architect position reports directly to the Chief Science Officer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and manage R&D budgets for product expansion
  • Build stage gate and portfolio processes to track the product discovery and development progress
  • Ensure that intellectual property generated in R&D is captured, documented, and filed
  • Characterize the process of DUBL ï™ informational interpretation development from its "smartphone introduction"
  • Provide technical and analytic ability to advance algorithm transition activities, and providing technical review and assessment of development activities
  • Assist in integrating collection systems and other databases/systems
  • Provide technical and analytic ability on integration and R&D operations of advanced concept ground systems
  • Advise on the selection of technologies, experiments and concepts for applicability to program goals, investment, and/or work prioritization
  • Support all aspects of acquiring external development work to support program objectives, such as specialized modeling and simulation work, software development, and system, segment and component development
  • Apply systems engineering practices, including, requirements and risk management, and interface definition and control activities
  • Attend scientific conferences and meetings to present scientific research results, moderate sessions, participate on committees and in working groups, etc.
  • Implement algorithmic measures for image classification, sensor data analysis and diffraction/extraction
  • Manage highly complex projects by establishing enterprise standards and processes for the IT team and making sure all teams adhere to the established standards; maintaining Software/Architecture design in alignment with the best technologies
  • Lead configuration and implementation by guiding other team members and development initiatives throughout the system development lifecycle

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Identifies, plans and executes novel scientific projects and may manage the work of others associated with direct or matrix structure
  • 10+ years of experience in a complex, multi-site environment high-tech/scientific R&D organization
  • Establish and delegate responsibilities, authority and decision-making appropriately
  • Possesses either a Master's or a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Engineering, Information Technologies or Statistics

Base salary for this position is conditioned by a "24-schedule" that awards a certain amount per hour.

This position is a full-time/permanent position and requires a "24-schedule" that equates to a minimum of forty (40) hours per week.
