The Role:
Forge Global is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead our diverse technology teams at a pivotal time of growth. Having recently went public(NYSE:FRGE), we’re looking for a technical leader with proven success leading global enterprise technology teams at a public company. We’re looking for someone that is passionate about innovation and wants to build scalable solutions that drive liquidity and growth in the private market. Our technical teams are leveraging a broad range of new technologies and are well-versed in delivering high quality, innovative solutions and they thrive on moving fast, delivering value, working as a team, and living our values of being bold, humble and accountable. Responsibilities:
- Define and execute Forge’s long term technology vision and strategy in close partnership with the CEO, Product Leaders, and Executive team
- Lead both the engineering team as well as IT/Devops, BI Analytics, and Infosec.
- Understand the business impacts of technology and how they align with Forge’s overall strategic vision ensuring technology resources meet short and long-term goals
- Produce long term (3-5 year) as well as short term (3 - 12 months) goals with business partners
- Build and mentor a diverse enterprise technology team. Proven success attracting and retaining high performing teams
- Foster a technical culture of innovation and collaboration leveraging our core values of being bold, accountable, and humble
- Be a public face for Technology at Forge. Work with investor relations & PR on external messaging for the benefit of recruiting and market positioning
- Manage a companywide technology budget and annual resource planning
- Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of professional experience with at least 10 years in an executive or similar level capacity leading distributed technical teams at a FinTech or FinServ company
- Experience in strategic technology planning, execution, and policy development
- Ability to attract, retain, and manage talent while transforming a technology organization’s effectiveness across a portfolio of products or product lines
- Experience managing large, distributed teams and achieving results primarily through effective leadership, goals, inspiration, and empowered teams
- Experience in Agile software development
- Demonstrated success integrating and/or delivering differentiated products and solutions in the FinTech and/or FinServ space
- Experience managing large company wide technology budgets
- Deep technical background with previous hands-on experience in software engineering within a high-performing technology organization
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- Prior experience with M&A and technology integrations is preferred
