Chief Technology Officer

The CTO will report to the CEO of Particle Health. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, they will be responsible for the engineering and product organizations as well as driving technology and business strategy at the business.

As Particle Health continues to grow and adapt, the CTO will lead the recruitment, professional development and retention of high-performing engineering and product leaders and a world class team.

This role will have overall responsibility for driving the delivery of engineering and product innovation, the development of new technologies, services, platforms, and products. They will oversee the engineering operations to ensure that technology productivity, growth and financial objectives are met while ensuring our products and services are highly available to empower our customers on their path to better health.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the other members on the Executive Leadership Team to set company vision, goals, and strategy.

• Ability to bridge the execution-focused, regulated, scale aspect of the business, and the user- focused, high velocity growth driver.

• Being strategic and also utilizes player/coach mentality. This person will need to bring stability and execute across a set of priorities for different types of customers as well.

• Draw upon professional standing and relationships to recruit engineering and product leaders and distinguished individual contributors. Ensure that Particle Health’s hiring continues to advance engineering and product quality and productivity, not just headcount.

• Inspire, and coach the leaders within the Engineering and Product teams, including engineering and product VPs and Directors.

• Ensure that the engineering team delivers secure, highly reliable/available, and high-performance software.

• Set ambitious timelines for development and ship on time. Set, own, and successfully accomplish fast-paced, milestone-based engineering and product timelines.

• Set goals, initiatives, vision, and roadmap for the Particle Health product development organization.

• Set the vision and drive the technology roadmap and strategy for infrastructure, technical capabilities, platforms, and technical investments that support Particle Health’s growth.

• Build strategies to ensure operational effectiveness of the team, including establishing overall direction, and anticipating needed future capabilities to support execution.

  Requirements

• Has been a core, strategic member of an executive management team of a high growth start up and demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.

• Has been responsible for the overall enterprise architecture of complex high scale distributed systems.

• Respected technologist and proven leadership development coach, as evidenced by the high quality of their recruiting efforts and direct reports.

• Has grown an engineering organization that ably managed rising product use.

• Has led an engineering organization of at least 20 engineers within a successful technology

  company.

• Proven ability to lead, inspire and engage a team of highly professional and technical engineering

  and product professionals to greater levels of collaboration, development, and performance.

• Has earned a reputation for establishing engineering and product rigor and rapidly delivering

  world-class consumer software platforms and applications.

• Minimum of 15 years of engineering and product design, development, and commercialization in

  software, fintech or other advanced technology field. Along with 10+ years of management/

  leadership experience.

• B.S. in Computer Science; Graduate degree in Computer Science preferred.
