Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (1099 Consultant) at Fort Health
This is a fully remote opportunity within the US requiring appropriate NY state licensing

POSITION OVERVIEW
As one of Fort’s consulting Psychiatrists you will have the opportunity to help deliver patient care and/or to work with our care team and pediatric partners to deliver psychiatrist consultations. You will also work with members from other parts of the org to enhance our product/services with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes for children and adolescents ages 4-19 with mild to moderate mental health issues.
The psychiatric consultant supports the collaborative care team—primary care provider patient and behavioral health care manager through regular consultation on an assigned caseload of patients. The psychiatric consultant advises the primary care provider on appropriate medications and other treatment strategies also providing the care team with educational support on diagnosing and managing behavioral health conditions.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Work with a team of MDs NPs and clinicians to provide effective and evidence based treatment to our patients

Traditional psychiatric services - diagnostic evaluation medication management and on-going monitoring

Collaborative care model - work with a team of clinicians and care coordinators to consult and advise pediatricians on behavioral health

issues in their patient population

Able to work a limited part-time schedule with possibility to ramp up as we grow
The established flat session rates are shown below:

90833 (add-on): $40

Training and Onboarding Pay: Total of 6 hours paid at a rate of $50/hour.

Cancellations or No-Shows: Paid 50% of the CPT code fee for appointments marked as no-shows or late cancellations. [Late cancellation is defined as an appointment canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled time].

Ongoing supervision or training: $50/hour

Malpractice Coverage: Provided by and paid for by Fort Health covering the clients you help at Fort Health.
Working Hours/Days: Working hours will generally be between the hours of 3:30-8:30 PM EST Monday-Friday and between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST on Saturdays [optional]. Note: Hours are not guaranteed however we will do our best to utilize the times you are available.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Board certified child psychiatrist with an active license in New York
-
A minimum of 2 years of clinically relevant experience treating children and adolescents in a variety of settings

A minimum of 1 year providing medication management service to child and adolescent patients with substantial competence in

psychopharmacology

Understanding of Collaborative Care a bonus

Must have reliable high-speed internet access with minimum speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
REPORTING: The incumbent reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer who will also assign projects provide general direction and guidance. Incumbent is expected to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
