We are looking for a CI Manager. The CI Manager will report to the Executive Director of Operations and will lead DRiV's continuous improvement initiatives designed to eliminate non-value added activities while improving operational excellence. This position ensures existing processes maintain a high level of performance while continuously reviewing and refining those processes. The position will be responsible for the establishment of an operational excellence culture throughout multiple plant operations with emphasis on sustainable, systemic elimination of waste through the entire value add chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Global DRiV plants to identify and execute improvement opportunities related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Maintain CI project lists and project tracking across multiple plants
  • Leads, trains and mentors plant CI resources.
  • Build project plans, including resources, timeline, critical paths, etc.
  • Manage diverse CI strategies for transactional and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify deficiencies in business processes and programs, recommending adjustments to programs and/or processes.
  • Link process deficiencies directly to bottom line impact.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams formed to implement change and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate problem-solving tools to provide rapid improvement with sustainable results.
  • Ensure adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation and reporting.
  • Plan budget and manage costs related to operational excellence initiatives.
  • Participate in operational continuous improvement reviews with Executive leadership

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in operations required.
  • Master Black Belt certification required.
  • Experience in a Continuous Improvement role.
  • Must have thorough understanding of:
    • cycle time reduction
    • waste reduction
    • yield improvement
    • productivity and throughput improvement
    • shop floor material flow optimization
    • pull system implementation
    • Heijunka implementation
    • level loading
  • Hands-on experience using Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, Six Sigma, TQM).
  • Proven leadership skills to coach and lead teams to fully deliver chartered objectives and projects.
  • Project management experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Be a self-starter with excellent organizational skills in planning and organizing to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Advanced problem solving capabilities, attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
