Job Description
Ibotta is seeking a Cinematographer to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. In this role, you will create engaging video content for a range of projects, including commercials, social media videos, interviews, web content, and event coverage. You'll oversee each project from concept to completion, using your technical expertise and storytelling skills to produce captivating content that resonates with our audience. Throughout this process, you will collaborate with key stakeholders in B2B and D2C Marketing, Sales, HR, and Senior Leadership.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate with the Director of Production, Creative Director, Content Creator, and vendors to create shot lists, gear lists, lighting setups, and production timelines, ensuring effective execution of shoots.
- Oversee video projects from concept to completion, which includes planning, organizing gear, facilitating communication, developing lighting plans, recommending equipment, and executing production.
- In addition to on-set responsibilities, you will edit projects and handle tasks such as sourcing music, recording voiceovers, adding sound effects, performing color correction, mixing audio, and exporting in various formats.
- Execute high-profile projects with meticulous attention to detail.
- Work closely with team members, including the Creative Director and motion/VFX artists, to achieve a cohesive creative vision.
- Maintain high quality and brand consistency across all projects.
- Utilize industry-leading creative tools, software, and equipment.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines.

What We Are Looking For
- 3+ years of experience as a cinematographer or videographer in an agency, freelance, or in-house setting.
- An online portfolio that showcases exceptional creative and technical work; a reel is a plus.
- Proficiency in DSLR camera systems, with the ability to shoot in manual mode and adjust settings for different environments; familiarity with the Sony ecosystem is a plus, and knowledge of advanced cinema camera systems is a bonus.
- Expertise in lighting techniques for studio, interview, and product photography; experience on large video production sets is a plus.
- Proficient in Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, Photoshop); knowledge of DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition, and Figma is a plus.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and take accountability for work.
- Organized workflow that promotes collaboration on projects.
- Effective communication skills for presenting creative concepts to non-creative audiences.
- Willingness to learn about Ibotta and its partners to ensure projects resonate with the target audience.

Additional Details
- This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, a benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, an Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks, and occasional meals.
- Base compensation range: $68,000-78,000. Equity is included in the overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience. Talk to your recruiter to learn more.
