Cinematographer/Editor
Job Description
The cinematographer/editor role for Cambria will possess the ability to bring sight and sound together to tell a cohesive story for training/teaching or selling the Cambria product and services. Their primary role is shooting and editing yet may find themselves managing many levels of production: producing, shooting, editing, and publishing. This position plans, shoots and assembles recorded footage into a finished project that matches the vision of the job. Additional areas of influence will be in brand video support development and execution to support marketing efforts - photography, digital signage support, managing files/server.
The ideal candidate has an eye for aesthetics, frame composition, lighting techniques, and camera motion. They understand video pacing and how to visually tell a story for various channels. Additionally, they push themselves to meet personal goals and always improve their craft.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excellent camera and lighting knowledge
- Strong knowledge of production workflows, production equipment, and experienced in working with and directing on-camera talent
- Creative collaboration with cross-functional teams from briefing to file delivery
- Understanding of digital and social video standards
- Ensure on-time execution and delivery of high-quality output
- Knowledge of trends in the film/video industry
- Open to new ideas, know when to change course and evaluate creative needs when balancing creative expectation and output
- Conduct routine video equipment maintenance
- Assisting Photography Studio team with product photography when workload decides
- Able to deliver projects quickly and meet deadlines
Requirements
- 2 - 8+ years experience in video production
- Portfolio showcasing strong visual thinking/display
- Sound understanding of photography, video content, and typography
- Proficient in Adobe CS tools - specifically photoshop, premiere pro, after effects
- Experience in Davinci Resolve a plus
- Ability to evaluate and direct motion graphics projects
- Adapts to the requirements of a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail and quality
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to speak effectively before executives and peers, as well as project a professional appearance
- Ability to create and maintain highly organized server and document files
- Effectively drives and delivers on multiple assignments at one time
- Ability to be lead creative on smaller projects with little to no supervision
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred
Experience: Must have 2-8+ years of related work experience in ad/marketing agency or design shop
Additional Requirements:
Managerial Responsibilities: No
Travel Requirements: Some travel required both regionally and nationally
Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds for displays, samples and other marketing materials
