Circulation Manager

Job Description

Do you have an operational management background and strong customer service skills? Advance Local has a hybrid role for a Circulation Manager in Portland, Oregon. Our company is driven by our mission, to strengthen and empower the communities we serve, and we are looking for an individual to help us deliver on that promise.

The Circulation Manager's key responsibilities will be to help oversee the complex delivery of The Oregonian and other print products. This position is responsible for managing large distributions contracts, maintaining customer relationships, transportation of products and the day-to-day management of the local circulation team.

For this position we're looking for candidates with:

• Five years' experience in an operational management position, newspaper circulation preferred
• Experience managing people and processes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Previous customer service experience handling high-level issues
• Reliable home office and transportation
• Ability to travel in the Portland and the surrounding area, as needed
• Ability to work occasional nights, weekends and holidays, in all weather conditions
• Basic computer and math skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office computer applications
