We are looking for a Cisco ISE specialist who wants to get involved with a medium sized, fast paced, and dynamic company.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco-based security solutions, as well as other providers. In this role, you will serve as the security specialist within the Network Engineering department.

Apogee is an Austin, TX based company and the person in this role can work from home anywhere in the continental US. Apogee is not able to provide US sponsorship at this time.

Here's the job:
  • Projects vary according to customer requirements, but in general, you will be a lead security engineer resource focused on Cisco Firepower©NGFW firewalls and Identity Services Engine (ISE) ©, along with a variety of vendor security solutions, including Palo Alto©, Meraki©, and Sonicwall©, among others
  • Perform a combination of security engineering design and deployment as well as routing/switching
  • Maintain dedication to doing quality work and continuously improving
  • Develop and drive local and global policies
  • Assist in troubleshooting connectivity through firewall log analysis and network traces


Requirements

  • Minimum six years of post-academic experience designing and/or deploying security architectures
  • Strong Cisco Firepower(FTD, FPS) experience
  • Minimum four years Cisco ISE©/ACS © experience; CCNP Security © level knowledge required; will be assessed with hands-on evaluation during the interview process
  • Minimum four years Cisco-based routing and switching experience; CCNP Enterprise © level knowledge required; will be assessed with hands-on evaluation during the interview process
  • Experience with security compliance standards like PCI, HIPAA, etc.
  • Experience with site to site VPN, remote access VPN (i.e., Cisco AnyConnect©)
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team of highly skilled professionals
  • High-level technical knowledge of systems engineering, networking, and software architectures
