Citrix Engineer

About the opportunity:
New Era Technology is seeking an experienced Citrix Engineer to help with Designing, Maintaining, and Supporting the Firm's large Citrix Desktop Services and Application Farms. Manage the lifecycle framework for the Client, Server, and Infrastructure components using Citrix and Window ecosystems. Assist with the evaluation and integration of new products and solutions in Citrix portfolio and assist with the ongoing engineering efforts to support Citrix Cloud SaaS migrations. This is a hybrid position, looking for candidates local to Jersey City, NJ (preferred) or Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities:

• Manage the lifecycle framework for the Client, Server, and Infrastructure components using Citrix and Window ecosystems.
• Assist with the evaluation and integration of new products and solutions in Citrix portfolio.
• Assist with the ongoing engineering efforts to support Citrix Cloud SaaS migrations.
• In-depth knowledge in Windows OS internals including Group Policies, Windows Defender, Windows Networking stack, OS build engineering and deployment.
• Experience engineering, managing and supporting environments involving VDI (Citrix, RDS), and Microsoft Desktop and Server platforms (Windows 10/11 and Server 2016+).
• Experience engineering, managing and supporting Virtualizations Platforms (VMWare ESX, RedHat OCP, MSFT HyperV).
• Experience in automation, anomaly detection and predictive analysis.
• Experience with Windows Systems Management and Patch management Technologies (MECM, Intune, Group Policy and WSUS).
• Extensive experience with one or more scripting technologies: PowerShell, VBS, SQL, Windows Batch.
• Experience with Windows build engineering, particularly experience with MECM.
• Experience in supporting secure infrastructure solutions involving DMZ Environment.

Skills required:

• Seven (7) or more years of experience with Enterprise-level experience engineering, maintaining, supporting Citrix Cloud SaaS services.
• Team player who can work in a fast paced, environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with C#, .NET and or Java Programming.
• Strong PowerShell scripting (Must be from scratch)
• Strong communication skill and able to work with remote counterparts internally and manage external vendors.
• Familiar with Linux, Middleware, Networks, Storage, Email, Mob.

Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
• Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling.
• Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
• Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.

Preferred Education

• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and work experience.
