Job Description:
MIDAS is seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Technical Support Engineer to provide expert-level assistance for our structural and bridge engineering software.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a solid engineering background, and excellent communication abilities to support our customers throughout North America.
This role involves responding to client inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring client success through education and technical guidance.
Note: This position is currently remote, but may transition to an in-office role in Texas in the future once our office is established.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 1–3 years of experience in technical support or a customer-facing engineering role
• Strong understanding of Finite Element Method (FEM) and structural engineering concepts
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple support cases and prioritize tasks effectively
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using MIDAS software or other FEM software
(e.g., midas Civil, midas GTS NX, Larsa, CSI, Sofistik, Lusas)
• Knowledge of bridge or geotechnical design practices in North America
• Experience with support ticketing or CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Zendesk)
• Experience conducting webinars or technical training
Responsibilities:
• Provide first-line technical support to users via email, phone, and remote sessions
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to MIDAS software
• Document customer interactions, issues, and resolutions in CRM/support systems
• Assist users with software installation, licensing, and updates
• Conduct technical training sessions and product demos for clients
• Collaborate closely with sales, product development, and QA teams to improve product usability and customer satisfaction
• Develop and update support documentation, FAQs, and tutorials
• Stay current with product updates, industry standards, and engineering codes
• Represent MIDAS at virtual conferences, training workshops, or webinars as needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
