What you'll be doing...

The Pension Claims Analyst provides a critical audit function for claims and inquiries to ensure participants receive accurate and timely pension benefits.  The Analyst reviews processor work, ensuring quality, and correcting and coaching as needed.  The position requires technical accuracy, combined with excellent communication skills and diplomacy.

  • Reviews and obtains additional information on claims
  • Reviews written communication sent to participants and interested parties
  • Assists in preparing and processing applications involving difficult or unusual circumstances
  • Reviews and confirms denial determinations
  • Reviews, approves, and releases claims prior to payment authorization
  • Provides training to processing staff
  • Reviews and approves claim recalculations

  • Educated. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Technically Savvy. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) & ability to learn new tools
  • Organized. Multi-tasking & organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicator. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Player. Able to work independently and be a productive and contributing team member
