NAVWAR 8.0 is responsible for oversight and successful execution of all corporate operations related activities for NAVWAR in support of Navy-wide Information Dominance initiatives. This includes Corporate Operations, Strategic Management, Business Planning, Workforce Management, Military Management, Process Improvement, and Corporate Communications.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Classification Specialist will provide direct support to the Director of Civilian Human Resources (DCHR) and team. This position is primarily in support of GS/Alternative Pay System (APS) position classification on the NAVWAR 8.0 Corporate Operations Support Services (COSS) contract. This position is located in San Diego, CA.
What You'll Do
- Support the HR team with civilian position classification and management.
- Coordinate with HR team lead for overall activities.
- Ability to interact with diverse functional teams in IPT environments.
- Support data calls, action tracking, Quality Assurance (QA) for cross team deliverables.
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University. May substitute with Associate's Dress for adequate work experience.
- Three (3) years experience in Department of the Navy (DoN) Human Resources and DoN Civilian HR classification policies.
- Strong understanding of the GS position classification process and content.
- Experience in Navy Human Resources and Civilian HR classification policies.
- Three years of professional work experience.
- Strong writing and computer skills.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 per year. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
