Cleaner/Janitor

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning tasks effectively. Duties • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors to maintain cleanliness. • Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. • Carry out industrial cleaning duties in various settings, including commercial spaces and residential properties. • Maintain custodial supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stocked and in good working condition. • Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed to support overall building upkeep. • Ensure all areas are free from hazards and report any safety concerns to management. • Provide porter services by transporting items as needed within the facility. • Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a healthy environment. Qualifications • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required. • Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and maintenance procedures. • Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is a plus. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. • Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods. • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
