Aktiv Pharma Group (‘Aktiv’) is a fast-growing, vertically integrated specialty pharmaceutical company with combination products CDMO capabilities, developing, manufacturing, and commercializing sterile-injectable products in a portfolio of proprietary, value-added, prefilled delivery systems. The company’s team of 80 employees harmonize all aspects of combination product development and manufacturing with effectively synchronized operations, including chemistry, device development, manufacturing equipment development, material science, quality and regulatory, in-house cleanroom assembly operations, and in-house sterile fill-finish. Aktiv commercializes drug products independently as well as supporting other pharmaceutical companies address unmet needs and create competitive advantage in the market. Aktiv leading products are proprietary emergency medicine in autoinjectors.

We are currently hiring for a Cleanroom Operator

The Position: The Cleanroom Technician is responsible for assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging medical devices per work instructions using a variety of assembly equipment, fixtures, and test equipment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to correctly assemble, test, inspect and package medical devices.
  • Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements of the Aktiv Pharma Group Quality System.
  • Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Production Supervisor.
  • Perform manual assembly and visual inspection of medical device products.
  • Complete line clearance, scrap records, training records, batch records and other documentation as required.
  • Complete routine tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
  • Work in an ISO7 cleanroom environment.
  • Other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of the organization.

Job Qualifications

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English 
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately in English
  • Ability to work safely around chemicals and equipment
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to do repetitive work, requiring strong dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Knowledge of cGMP Manufacturing Environment
  • Good computer skillset and knowledge of Microsoft software suite.
  • Must be able to work in a controlled environment.

Education and Experience:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous medical device assembly experience required
  • Previous ISO 7 clean room experience required
