We're now hiring for a Client Account Manager for the APEA University team. This position is responsible for B2B client management and sales support. This role is also responsible for increasing sales efficiency and effectiveness, improving business processes and deal consistency, and standardizing terms of deals while enforcing minimum contracting standards. In addition, this individual works directly with our billing department to process sales orders and returns. Candidates will work from a remote location or from our Leawood, KS office location.

Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate internal relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Responds to Customer inquiries/information needs, and provides positive, courteous service to Customer/Sales Personnel.
  • Provide information on current clients (order habits, personnel) to support Sales on specified Deal and Quote related matters.
  • Work as the primary liaison between multiple groups, such as revenue, sales ops, legal, pricing, to help facilitate the deal process.
  • Answers questions regarding products, pricing, and proof of delivery.
  • Works with the appropriate internal department to process invoices, quotes, returns, and credit card payments.
  • Set up and maintain products, pricing, and promotions for new and existing clients.
  • Assist in the creation of client invoices while adhering to special statement handling for specific clients.
  • To support APEA's primary billing agents, maintain and enter monthly billing into billing system. Serve as the primary billing agent when regular billing agents are out of the office.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, accept/enter payments from customers and facilitate customer returns.
  • Collaborate with sales / contract administration / finance to identify acceptable solutions, resolve complex contract issues, and develop solutions in compliance with business practices and policies.
  • Works with the shipping department to expedite or ensure timely delivery of scheduled shipments.
  • Maintain a daily phone shift for a dedicated faculty line.
  • Communicates pertinent customer concerns or issues to Sales Personnel.
  • Maintains client information in D365, our Customer Relationship Management tool or other tools as required.
  • Works with our Enterprise Apps team to design and test both user interface and user experience (UX/UI) for new products and processes.
  • Overtime during high seasonal volume may be required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. High school education or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in account management, a Deal Desk function for a large sales team, customer service, or sales support.
  • Willingness to learn how to use D365 CRM, Experlogix, or comparable CRM/CPQ tools is required; prior experience with such tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn how to use Great Plains, Tableau is required; prior experience is a plus
  • Microsoft Office proficiency preferred
  • Experience with reporting creation and analysis preferred
