We’re looking for a seasoned Client Director with the passion and experience to create/build what matters – one project at a time.
Our new Client Director will play a key role in leading one of our most tenured marquee accounts at Designit, Microsoft. This world-class highly visible team sits within Microsoft’s Cloud Marketing Organization and will focus on the Global Customer Advocacy Program (GCAP) initiatives.
Broadly, the GCAP team is on a mission to connect a community of Microsoft customers and industry decision-makers to tackle today’s most common digital transformation challenges across Microsoft’s leading solutions (Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Surface, Microsoft 365, Power Platform among others).
This role is crucial to successful delivery within this account, helping to drive the team toward a common goal, working with clients to understand critical business needs, managing budgets and funding programs, and creating an environment for the team that fosters creativity, opportunity and shared excitement in our work.
The ideal candidate will have prior B2B Advocacy experience allowing them to better understand the pressures and expectations of the Microsoft sellers and customer account owners but will also understand the program from the standpoint of potential customer advocates and the program’s target stakeholders across, IT and Business Decision Makers. - Maintain established relationships with existing clients and nurture critical business relationships in order to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue, and obtain additional business
- Help to set the vision for, define, and develop new business strategies tailored to the needs of Designit and your clients
- Create proposals and SOWs to drive account growth, facilitate client presentations to promote capabilities, and leads presentations and communication to senior and executive level audiences on complex projects
- Act as trusted advisor for any questions, challenges, escalations
- Lead internal and client facing business meetings and agency updates whilst ensuring alignment with Executive Client Director and leadership on across opportunities
- Create capabilities presentations and other marketing materials – fully leveraging the Designit story and assets and integrating Americas-specific needs
- Ensure alignment with program management to set clear critical paths, project deliverables, milestones, timetables, and calendars
- Maintain pipeline and prospects information within Salesforce and update reporting as necessary
- Support the broader Client Services team across the full sales cycle including prospecting and qualifying, developing and closing opportunities, effective resourcing, pricing negotiations, etc.
- Manage projects independently and lead internal team to successful, on-time and on-budget completion of projects
- Build effective working relationships with team members
- Conduct meetings with the clients and own reporting on the status of current projects
- Contribute to portfolio strategy and direction
- Write creative, media and project briefs
We would like you to have...
- 10+ years of agency, consulting experience, or account management support with enterprise customers
- Understanding of Microsoft ecosystem, business needs, challenges, and internal organizational structure
- Proven ability to work independently, run with ambiguity, and thrive in change
- Executive communications, engagement, and influence
- Seasoned at managing multiple complex global projects simultaneously across several lines of business
- Strong financial understanding, and experience around pricing, pitching, and winning incremental business
- Diplomatic in providing a strong POV and at times, having hard conversations
- Demonstrated ability to understand how to run business and commercial models (including, but not limited to, portfolio management, P&L influence, target margin goals, business planning)
- Ability to listen to client needs, identify opportunities, and successfully brief internal teams in the delivery of outstanding work
- Expert client and executive-level presentation skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- History of exceptional customer service and client satisfaction
- Experience managing digital marketing and/or creative projects
- Experience working across project-based, managed service, and staff augmentation agreements
- Cross functional relationship-building skills within the agency

Compensation Range: $124,000 - $176,000
This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity. This role comes with a variable pay component based on performance.
