Client Engagement Specialist

POLITICO is looking for a Client Engagement Specialist to support the Managing Director in organizing and streamlining engagements with POLITICO's clients and influencers, which make up the POLITICO Client Engagement network. This position will take on the coordination and execution of Client Engagement strategy across departments, with a main focus on the Audience Solutions team. The Managing Director and Specialist will work hand in hand to create a Client Engagement strategy that leads to Audience Solutions' business growth.

The Specialist, Client Engagement is responsible for supporting the Managing Director with establishing strategic growth opportunities and relationships with C-Suite level clients across Fortune 100 companies and top associations. This position will take on the coordination and execution of strategic planning by determining who are the key prospects, building out presentation materials, gathering market intelligence, as well as coordinating across the department and organizing outreach in cooperation with Executive Support teams.

What You'll Do:

• Assist Managing Director in building out the Client Engagement organizational structure and framework
• Maintain the database, using Excel and Salesforce, outreach tracking and activation calendar, updating all regularly to reflect future opportunities as well as past participation
• Act as liaison and main point of contact for gathering Client Engagement lists related to events, meetings, and strategic outreach
• Coordinate across departments to maintain accurate information on existing and new VIPs and clients
• Keep Managing Director organized, providing administrative support when necessary and leveraging internal teams when needed

What You'll Need:

• BA/BS degree required
• 2-3 years of experience in sales, digital advertising or marketing
• Communication skills: excellent and persuasive oral skills to be used over the phone and in person with top executives and their staff. Excellent written communication skills to be used in presentations, emails, pitch decks, and RFP's
• Experience with Keynote, Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint to be used in presentations and written memos
• Previous CRM experience, Salesforce experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail
• Strong ability to meet deadlines, problem solve and leverage available resources in order to meet needs of team and executives.
