Client Engineer Summer 2023 Internship

Position Summary:

As an intern in the Client Engineering org at Beacon you will work with our team leads on a variety of client-focused engagements including onboarding and implementation of Beacon Platform and helping our clients get the most value from our product and you will write code that will help solve our clients' problems through Beacon and help them become rapidly productive with our product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with our engineering team, developing tools for automation of the front-office trading environment set-up process. This can include adding GUI, logging, updating, exception handling and recovery 

• Assist in enhancing tools which help us and our clients inspect graph-based calculations

• Enhance and/or extending tools to help our clients become more productive with platform

• Respond to client inquiries and question workflow for platform CORE services and front office functionality
• Contribute to broader Beacon Platform assets such as our training materials or sample apps using our Application Development Framework
• Update best practice procedures, runbooks or Wiki docs for platform usage

Required Skills & Approach:

• Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems,  Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics major with a minimum GPA of 3.5
• Passion for programming in Python
• Experience with IDE tools
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to articulate technical details to both peers and non-technical stakeholders

Salary Range: 20-30 an hour (USD)
